Model railway control software

Build a train. Make it yours.

More time running trains, less time finding the right control. Rail Deck brings your trains, points and signals together on your phone, tablet or computer, so you can settle in and enjoy your railway.

Put your train together.

Choose a locomotive, add your coaches or wagons and arrange them just how you like. Give your train a name, save it and look forward to running it again.

Give each train its own feel.

Enjoy a gentle start with a passenger train or take your time with a long freight. Choose saved driving and brake profiles to give each train its own feel.

Saved train driving settings with gentle acceleration, brake response and a speed curve.

The saved running profile, speed limit and response curve stay with the train.

Bring the rest of your railway with you.

Keep your points, signals and favourite routes alongside the train controls. Give routes familiar names, so it’s easier to find the one you want.

Named routes sit beside the train controls on the operating screen.

More than one locomotive

More locomotives. One set of controls.

Want to run locomotives together? Add them to the same train and choose which way each faces. Drive the train from one set of controls, with each locomotive’s functions close at hand.

Explore coordinated locomotives
Cab lights available on three of four locomotives, with compressor and fan available on one of four.

The count shows when a function is available on only part of the train, such as cab lights on three of four locomotives.

Less to learn. More to enjoy.

You shouldn’t have to learn everything at once to enjoy running trains. We’re building Rail Deck to make model railway control easier to pick up, more welcoming and more affordable.

  • Start with one train

Begin with one layout and one locomotive. Add points, signals and routes when you’re ready, at a pace that suits you.

  • Spend less time hunting for controls

Keep the throttle, direction, brakes and locomotive functions together, with your points and signals close by.

  • Make it your kind of fun

Build a favourite passenger train, try a long freight or enjoy a little shunting. Save your trains, choose how they feel to drive and come back to them another day.

At home, at the club or at an exhibition

  • At home

Enjoy your own railway with your favourite trains saved and the controls you use most close at hand.

  • At a club

Run the club railway together. Members use their own accounts, while owners choose who can change the layouts and settings.

  • At an exhibition

Welcome operators for the session with the controls they need. Keep layout settings with the people responsible for them.
